LEADR is actively evolving based on feedback from the indie game development community and adding great new features as fast as we can - with the vast majority of features being added fisrt to LEADR's open-source core. Here's some of the features we're working on next.
Coming Soon¶
Per-Account Backups¶
On top of the standard frequent database backups that ensure LEADR's resilience, an additional backup of each individual account in the LEADR database will be stored and recoverable seperately.
LEADR Cloud
Indie and Studio plans on LEADR Cloud have more frequent backups and longer retention.
Data Export¶
If your needs change, or you just want to do some offline analysis, you can export your full LEADR data at any time.
Steam Import¶
Automated import of your Steam leaderboards into LEADR, making the move to cross-platform leaderboards quick and easy.
Ghosts & Replays¶
Store and share gameplay recordings directly through LEADR. Players can download ghosts to race against top performers, study high-level strategies, or share their own achievements. Perfect for speedrunning communities, competitive multiplayer, or any game where "show, don't tell" matters. Store replay metadata alongside scores and retrieve them when needed.

Indie and Studio plans on LEADR Cloud have higher data storate allowances.
Invite-Only Leaderboards¶
Create private boards for closed beta testing, streamer subscriber competitions, or exclusive community events. Control exactly who can submit scores while keeping the competitive experience intact. Perfect for pre-launch testing or building VIP experiences for your most dedicated players.
LEADR Cloud
Create more invite-only boards and invite more people with an Indie or Studio plan on LEADR Cloud.
Advanced Anti-Cheat¶
Added levels of sophisticated cheat detection to further improve LEADR's ability to keep your leaderboards clean and your game fun.
Web Page Theming and Customisation¶
Show off your leaderboards with your game's style and branding. Remove the LEADR branding, change fonts and colours, and even use your own custom domain.
LEADR Cloud
Unlock theming with a LEADR Cloud Indie plan, or get full customisation and remove LEADR branding with a Studio plan.
Score Analytics¶
Understand how players interact with your game through score distribution analytics. See where players struggle, identify difficulty spikes, and make data-driven decisions about balancing and progression. Analytics help you tune difficulty curves, adjust scoring systems, and build better player experiences based on real gameplay data.
Platform Sync¶
Synchronize your LEADR data with Steam Leaderboards and Unity Gaming Services. Run LEADR alongside platform-specific boards for expanded functionality whilst unifying your player data across multiple platforms.

Requires a LEADR Cloud Studio plan.
User-Generated Content Galleries¶
Let players share and discover community creations. Upload custom levels, character designs, mods, or any user-generated content alongside leaderboard scores. Build browsable galleries with ratings, comments, and featured content. Turn your game into a creative community, not just a competitive one.

More SDKs¶
In parallel to core LEADR functionality, we will continue to improve the existing SDKs and develop new SDKs for other game engines, including Unreal Engine, GameMaker, and more.
